Any other online Jastas for ROF?

My online Jasta needs an ally to do co-op sorties online for ROF wanted to know if there are other Jastas that would jump to our assistance.

Thumbs up

Why not post all your Q's about RoF here: SimHQ RoF Forum

You will have a better chance of them answered.

Cheers.

Wait a sec... there's our Aerodrome forum, there's the SimHQ forum, then there's the official forum (i.e. the one you register at). That's a lot of dispersion, and I think it would be hard for an RoF community to form. Any chance of bringing all these together?

Most USA fliers of RoF are posting on the SimHQ forum, your best bet. The Official RoF forum is 2nd and basically Russian with a splash of the rest. Here 3rd.

Ugh... I think it would be helpful unify this. If, for instance, you were looking for people to play against in your area, you'd have to cross post to 3 forums!

Even within the RoF forum itself, it's divided up into so many sub-areas and splinters that it's hard to find an article you're interested in because there are so many closely related subforums it might appear in.

Someone then needs to start one. Hopefully they will all find it and post there. Maybe you could get that going?

As I understand it, MP play for RoF is not that great right now, even Neoqb does not have it setup correctly or a server working.

Actually, I think the opposite... discussion should all get redirected to the same forum, preferably one that's well organized!

Oh... I didn't know that. I didn't have any trouble joining any of the servers out there, but I haven't done that much either...

.... and how do you do that? How do you redirect all the discussions to one forum from all the different sites all over the world or even just in the states here?

You should read more over on the SimHQ site.

Oh, don't get me wrong... there is no practical solution; I'm just whining about an ideal world that we'll never see.

For most games, multiple forums are not an issue, but for Rise of Flight, with a community that's already depressingly small, having what few players there are scattered over multiple forums exacerbates the isolated nature of the population.

I myself don't get to play enough to follow the RoF forums in detail; rather, I use them to get questions answered. The reason is that I principally use games to bond with friends I already know, but they avoid serious sims because they frustrate easily, so when I read forums about all this exciting flight sim stuff going on in a forum I get depressed.

So, in many ways, I'm pretty much just venting here, and as a result my opinions are really an expression of frustration rather than any seriously considered point of view.

Hey, I know what you mean. Seems there is a lot of venting going on in the RoF & SimHQ forums.

Cheers.
