The key difference is, I think, that DtD is almost always caused by a missing bitmap, much easier to detect by modders into their own "open" patches than into encrypted VOL original files.

Maybe I should reload WFP2 as I was having some trouble with it and had to go back to WFP7.1. I still get lots of Campaign DtDs, far too often. I've almost threatened to uninstall the entire game because of this problem.

Are you saying the DtD are because of the .bmp files that are swapped sometimes get dropped by CM11?

I've got two different copies of CM11, one has a small window that opens and shows the .bmp's being loaded in real time while the files load. My other one doesn't have this little window.

The other problem being I still can't find a V4runner version that actually runs my VooDoo4500 in true 3DFX Glide mode, so I have to run Windowed. This same card runs Richthofen's Skies, which is OpenGL, just fine...

Oh well...

Hey, did anyone else run into trouble trying to install the Glide Wrapper for RB3D? The link I got pointed to a defunct Eastern European site.

dgVoodoo 1.5 Beta 2 is recommended as it contains special improvements for Red Baron 3D -> Wings of Honor - Where Combat Simulation Begins! Your W.W.I Flight Sim Resource

How to set up -> Wings of Honor - Where Combat Simulation Begins! Your W.W.I Flight Sim Resource

Cheers

WFP7 is actually the most stable version of ever... AFAIK, WFP2 has a problem with BE12: I got always DtD when playing campaign in Flanders during time range of its service until I did a patch on my own. Try to play in Marne or Verdun sector and see if it helps... Soon will be released an MFP5 (Moving Front Patch v.5) which is an UOP already containing WFP2 that should fix its bugs: at least there's an author to deal with.

No sir. CM11 not copying all required files is an old urban legend absolutely false: it works ALWAYS. Missing files are simply forgotten by modder (quite possible if you consider they're thousands and their complex connection with various DAT file that call for them (Filelist.dat, Except.dat, Planesq.dat, etc.).

You must use CM11, that's to say Campaign Manager version1.1, neither previous 1.0beta nor later 1.2-1.3-1.4 work or are suited.

Voodoo 4500 doesn't really require anything more that its own drivers. To limit memory to 2MB (avoiding texture corruption) just launch Baron.exe by following file batch:

@echo off
set FX_GLIDE_TMU_MEMSIZE=2
baron.exe
set FX_GLIDE_TMU_MEMSIZE=-1
exit

You didn't specify what OS: if XP you shouldn't have problems at all, if Vista the key problem seems to be missing INDEO codec (unfortunately no more supported with Vista) to run FLC footage contained in game.
