Is this the source of the problem?

I've been having installation problems with RB3D for a while now.It all happened when we put in a DVD/CD drive. Is this the cause of the problem?

nope....i suggest it´s a problem of scratches on the CD. I recognized that my DVD-Rom is more sensitive on scratches on CD´s than my old CD-Rom was.

BTW: Be sure to have the silver side downwards...

Willi,

If you already have RB3D installed, there is a way to run it without the cd.
  1. Start the program
  2. A dialog box will come up, prompting you to insert the cd
  3. Click the upper right iron cross six times
This may not work if you only did a partial install, and may not give you access to the videos, but otherwise should work.
