I came across a copy of "AVIATION AWARDS OF IMPERIAL GERMANY IN WORLD WAR 1 AND THE MEN WHO EARNED THEM VOLUME VII: The Aviation Awards of Eight German States and the Three Free Cities" during a visit to the Smithsonian NASM. It is a wonderful book. Of particular interest to me was page 110, which had an excellent photo of Manfred von Richthofen's style of epaulets. And a concise description of the item on the opposite page. I have been seeking a good image of this for years! As I said, it is an excellent book which I intend to one day purchase. The problem is I don't have the $70 to purchase the book right now. I was wondering if someone would be so kind as to send me a copy of page 110 and 111 off-forum. My email is tsollers@bcpl.net.
