From the information I have learnt this is a good early 1914-15 gold piece made by Wagner, which are quite rare compared to the later produced silver pieces.

Very obviously never worn (PLM was not awarded posthumously, and was to be worn at all times in uniform, so should normally show at least some signs of wear even if this is not the daily wear medal), quality is not what it should be. DANGER Will Robinson!! DANGER DANGER!!!

It would be nice if it was part of an attributed grouping but for the number of these awarded the price is not that unrealistic.

You can still get wartime silver gilt ones for 12-15,000+...the gold ones are that much more? This guy is about 25% over the market on some of his other items, IMHO.
