There are many, many, copies out there. These 3 are mine ....Which one is fake?

1. Unmarked flat back
2. 800 CE Juncker ray back
3. 800 CE Juncker ray back

BTW, (Thom's ????) badge at Ebay is a fake.

My understading is that there should Not be a berry at the left side of the horizon line, for one thing.. So I'd say #3.

First Impressions!

First impression, and it just kept building!

Inside back rim of crown, 'Cross" sitting on radiused shoulder (see backsides and compare), "topography" (hillside lines), buildings, and flying machines all have subtle , some glaring, differences.

Back side: lower ribbon ends, Maker's mark: "Crescent Moon" outline stamped versus full impression stamp.

Every picture just kept growing the discrepancies in detail differences.
I have never seen one this close up in detail, but this is my opinion.

VBR, FOKKERJ

1. is an metall Juncker style badge. In my oppinion not made be JUNCKER but OK.

2. is an period JUCKER badge without doubt.

3. modern copy. i want to say a bad on. There are better ones with flat back.

Regards

Alex

You are all right!

3 = Fake
1 = Not hallmarked, not silver, but ok.
2 = Original Period Juncker (A real beauty!)

There is one difference that cannot be seen here. #1 and #2 are taller and fatter than #3

I got burned with #3 12 years ago when I was inexperienced and my heart and passion betrayed me. I have decided to post this because I am tired of seeing bogus badges for sale. Of course it would be nice to have Karl Thom's badge, but I doubt it very much that you could find it at EBay. Use your knowledge and judgment when you buy a piece. Beware of your own wishes because sometimes they will trick you into buying something that you wish to have but it is not real.
Here is another photo of # 2 with an original Juncker’s Observer’s badge.
