Thanks for the excellent pictures but it is the official wording that goes with the citation that I'm interested in.

His most Magnificent Emperor, Frederick, awards to his most beloved subject, Von Kluckenheim, etc, etc and blah, blah, blah.

haben dem Leutnant Oswald Boelcke, Fliegeroffizier beim
Kampfgeschwader II der obersten Heeresleitung, den Orden pour le mérite
verliehen und erteilen demselben über den rechtmäßigen Besitz
dieser Auszeichnung das gegenwärtige Beglaubigungsschreiben
mit unserer eigenen Unterschrift und dem beigedruckten
Königlichen Insiegel. Großes Hauptquartier, den 12. Januar 1916.

Hope it helps. On Thies homepage (use Google) you can see the diploma but it is a mess because of the (intentional?) high compression of the jpg-format of the picture.
