MvR autographed postcard

Here is an MvR autographed postcard that I purchased a number of months ago. It appears that Göring is in the photo. I may be mistaken, but it also looks like Guido Sheffer (sp.) is there as well. Any comments other than I placed it upside down....sorry? History Fan

This size of image makes the card a little hard to read and identify. Could you possibly enlarge it?

Wink MvR autographed postcard

I scanned the postcard on my scanner and then downloaded it directly from my Photobucket account. I am not sure at this time how to enlarge it. Any suggestions? HF

HF- I tried all the Photoshop tricks and no luck. Just not enough data getting through to the forum. Your image shows about 1" or so in height at 300 dpi. By the time the image is increased to a reasonable (viewable) size, the resolution has decreased enough to lose all the details. Need some help from one of the forum computer experts.

Incidentally, the Germans printed tons of photos on photo paper which had a postcard format on the back. Looks like what you have is an original photo printed on photo paper with that kind of background. Unless someone else has seen this postcard before. I have several photos like that. If it is an original, it would be worth more to me (maybe only me) than a signed Sanke or other commercially printed postcard.

HF:

Are you thinking 5th from left may be Goering? The postcard is really too scratchy for me to say one way or another. I *tried* to make the postcard clearer, but to little avail.

Cheers, Amy

Hello Taz and Amy-
Thank you both for your input. Unfortunately you are seeing the upfront and personal pain of someone trying to figure out technology in public! First Amy, thank you for both messages you sent. Yes, I was thinking Herman was #5. MvR is #7. Taz, this photo does seem to have been converted into a postcard as well. There is quite the correspondance on the rear and I would like to have it translated as well. I will go back and see what I can do to download a closer image from the start, but this is what I was fed from the scanner as you mentioned Taz at 300 dpi. I originally took digital images and had nice close-ups, but for some reason they did not want to download into Photobucket. I will go back and try those again. As you can see, I had the same problem with my Boelcke letter- too small. The Immelmann was so large at the start that you can still read it just fine even though it is reduced 50%!
Thanks again for the help guys and I'll go back to the drawing board and see what I can do to make these better. HF
