WWI Aircraft Photographs - Peter Doyle
Many moons ago when I was in High School, (mid 70's) there was a gentleman selling copies of WWI aircraft photographs for .25 to .50 cents a copy. He advertised in WWI Aeroplanes or Model Builder or some model magazine IIRC. I think his name was Peter Doyle. I want to say he was from NY. I remember saving up my paper route money and getting 10 or 12 pictures at a time from him. Seems he had a lot of the experimental and odd ball stuff. Sadly everything I ever got from him was lost in a fire many years ago.
Does anyone know of him? What ever became of his photo collection?
Thanks Craig
