It would appear that someone bought them within 3 1/2 hours of the item being posted, with a "Buy It Now" option. Comes to about $14.25 each photo with some allowance for shippping costs. Roughly $10,000 U.S.

Wonderful Album
A truly great collection of pictures, many I have never seen before.
I especially liked the pictures of the Boelcke funeral showing all the pomp
the German army could muster.

Includes three very high resolution, unpublished photos of F.I 102/17. What a find. Too bad I was gone.

von Schleich!
Wow!
The Walfisch photos are paticularly germaine to an earlier discussion as to in what unit Schleich may have been flying the Roland - and there he is, just returned from a flight (perhaps a mission!). Can anyone translate and determine from either the content text or the description what unit these planes were from. Are there any clues as to exactly when these particular photos were taken?
The many pictures of the Walfisch from the same unit with the Lewis are fantastic and would make great documentation for a model! I assume the album originally belonged to either the pilot or observer of this machine..?

Actually, I just looked at the album again and it says the pilot (whose album it is) was in FFA 2b, which would have been with Schleich, right? Several of the pages are marked with "Villers" (I think). Would this have been where they were stationed? Any idea as to the time frame for this location?

Another fine collection is now up. Opening bid is $3500
He says: "Here we have an absolutely AMAZING original Photo Album of a German Luftwaffe Pilot, seved at Wurttembergische Artillerie-Flieger-Abteilung 216 in COLMAR, France, 1915/16.
In the album you can find 165 wonderful photographs, nearly all are inscribed."

Anyone interested in forming a cooperative to buy these bigger collections?

I'm guessing that he had a couple of emails from a couple of frustrated people who told him they would have paid a lot more for the first auction of 700 aero photos that sold with a "Buy It Now" in only 3 1/2 hours after listing them. This time there is no "Buy It Now" and the starting bid is 50% MORE per photo..than the others sold for.
