Is it my imagination, or is it a bit strange that none of the officers appear to be sporting wings?

Best wishes,

Grovetown.

The blurb's a bit off, too.

The squadron began life as No 71 Squadron RFC when it formed at Castle Bromwich on 27 March 1917. It moved to France on 18 December 1917 and assumed the title No 1 Squadron, AFC on 19 January 1918.

Curiouser and curiouser.
