Rare WWI GERMAN ACES UDET, VOSS, BUCHNER Photo Card
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...DME:L:RTQ:US:1
Probably something wrong with my eyesight but this guy keeps claiming that what he has is correct and original...
I've seen better at the time, someone publishing a Jasta 11 photo with von Richthofen saying it was Osterkamp...

Well, IF the asking price were about half what it is and IF the unit were identified and IF the names were all known, THEN I might make an offer. But as it is, - - - . R.

What a hoot.
Hi,
Yeah, Peter Kilduff pointed this ludicrous auction's claims out to me. Nary a pilot's or observer's badge in sight; these guys aren't even fliers.
Plus, there's no conceivable reason Udet, Voss and Büchner would be together in one group. They were not associated with each other in any way, certainly not before Voss' death.
I hope nobody takes this seriously.
Greg

One bid so far. Somebody is...or at least they appreciate it in spite.

The backside says it is a shot from Sylvester 1917 - interesting to know that poor dead Voss did party together with Udet and Büchner.

Just loaded my 38 and shot this question to the seller : How come none of these men are airmen (no pilot's or observer badges) Photo from Sylvester 1917 says the back, wasn't Voss killed in September 1917 ?
Curious to hear what he will say now...

"Germany's elitist and high scoring aces", 'elitist'? Is a child selling this, or is he implying that the German aces were contemptuous of the common man/woman?

Still just the one bid, but even so, this person is going to pay thirty bucks for it. Personally, I'd be tempted to email the bidder and educate him/her (unless they are already aware of the...how to put this?...rather dubious authenticity of the item).
