More MvR silver for sale

http://cgi.ebay.com/Baron-von-Richth...QQcmdZViewItem

Maybe just owned by the Richthofen family, not specifically MvR.

I really doubt it. This is another very questionable "real deal" from this ebay seller who calls himself "Major".

First of all, if you look at the hallmarks on the bottom they show that the thing is not actually silver - it is silver electro plate over base metal. Second it was not made in Germany, it was made in Austria. You can tell by the markings on the bottom which show it was made by "Berndorfer Metallwarenfabrik Arthur Krupp" which was a factory in Austria that made modest cost tableware for the ordinary people - hardly the sort of thing a wealthy aristocratic family would consider having in their home. Third, a coat of arms is a simple thing to add to any old piece of junk tableware and so it being on this is not any kind of proof.

Heeeyyyy...I like Charlie, he's a great guy!

All of his stuff his real, and it helps us pass the long days here in Bellevue trading amongst ourselves with stuff we've bought from him over the years!

Need any nails from the True Cross? I bought a bagfull from Charlie but the doctor took `em away...
