Has anyone heard anything more of the hand crafted aluminium Nieuport scout
Edward Mannock made from a part of a German he shot down?
for me this is the 'holy grail' of aviation trench art, or even models in general.
According to Sir Thomas pike, G.C.B, C.B.E, D.F.C , in 'The Ace With One Eye' , Mannock's close friend Jim Eyles donated it to Wellingborough ATC, which was burgled one weekend and the valueble relic was stolen.
