My Father's Memorabilia

I am the son of a WWI flyer living in Canada and my brother is in possesion of my father's WWI memoribilia. The collection includes his log book, photo album, medals, badges, mascot, plane parts... If there is enough interest, please let me know the best way to display.

agent2- With that amount of original data, it might be worth an article for Over the Front or Cross and Cockade Int. Plenty of people (myself included) who would be glad to help you put an article together. Not often we see such a complete package. You would then have something you could pass on to relatives and keep for posterity.

Not many stories to tell, he passed away when I was 7 years old. However the log book is quite detailed and extremely interesting. The photo album is fantastic with pictures of planes, fellow flyers, even a postcard of Red Baron's funeral. We also have the teddy bear mascot my father attached just behind the cockpit (seen in a 8"X10" photo). It's threadbare and (according to my mother) severed at the neck where it was hit by a bullet or shrapnel. Perhaps my brother knows more, he is 12 years older than I. Not many "plane parts" just small souvenir pieces from the plane (sorry if I conjured up images of a garage full of dismantled Camels)
