Prices on recently auctioned photo albums

Recently a few historically very important albums were auctioned on Ebay - some live - and got the following prices.

Albums of Ernst Udet
Estimated € 4,500 - € 9,000
Sold € 36,000 [ about $ 55,500 ]

Albums of Friedrich Christiansen
Estimated € 1,400 - € 2,800
Sold € 7,400 [ about $ 11,500 ]

Album of Fritz Liese [first album]
Sold € 1,343 [ about $ 2,050 ]

Album of Fritz Liese [ second album ]
Sold € 2,683 [ about $ 4,145 ]

Looking at what was to be seen from the innards of the albums there are a lot of pictures which have never (or almost never) seen the light of publication till now. Wonder if these pictures will somewhere be published or remain in the vaults of museums or private collectors.

At least with these prices it is certain that the buyer will be very careful with his investment

Cheers

Kees

Nothing against the Audi, but... he made the right choice!
