Can you identify this abbreviation

A silver cross (on a chain):

Gap.Bolc.5/L.Taxis (plus date: 4 XII 1926)

And on the other side, the Bavarian motto:

In Treue Fest

Some additional information:
It's just a long shot but I think there might/should be some link between this and the von Richthofen family. Anyway, I'd appreciate any input.

Taxis Regt.

I don't know for sure, but 'L. Taxis' may refer to the 2nd Bavarian Chevaux-leger regt. Taxis who were lancers.
