You Won't Wanna Miss This! WWI German Fighter Pilot & Fokker DR1 Triplane/Photo

BUYER BEWARE!

WWI German Fighter Pilot & Fokker DR1 Triplane/Photo

WWI German Fighter Pilot & Fokker DR1 Triplane/Photo - eBay (item 170257344551 end time Sep-05-08 17:21:06 PDT)

Estate sale find!!!

Large glossy photo image of a German World War I fighter pilot in flying togs posed with his Fokker DR1 triplane. It is under glass in its original period black wooden frame.

Starting bid: US $45.00
No bids!

Overall dimensions including frame: 14 1/2" x 11 1/2".
Highslide JS

It looks like an F.1, there's no "Broom handles" visible on the lower wings!
I will have to leave this one to the experts!
One never knows what might be found on ebay!
Ich bin sprachtlose!

HAPPY TRAILS, FOKKERJ

I look forward to comments.
Maybe it's one of Cole Palen's buddies.

I'm sure next he'll have a glossy color print of Voss' F.1, complete with yellow cowl, in it's original period frame.

Mate,
To my old eyes it looks like a cheep "FAKE"!!! Like the ones you can have made on Hollywood blvd by sticking your head into the hole. TO Sharp a detail of the pilot and the Fokker looks like back drop to me.

would not even waste a wooden nickel on it.

Yep, That's a model. I'm sure some poor sap will buy it and take it to be the real thing. How sad indeed that this has to keep going on. At least they will find out one day that all the money they spent on it was not spent in vain but in fact it was to get it off the market so some other poor sap wouldn't buy it, it just to bad he has to find out this way.

Like I said...

....REVELL! 1:48 scale.
I got the same red glossy finish on my version!
I will gladly part with it for 45 bucks, but if you want a discount, then i will gladly obscure part of the plane by inserting my mug into the picture -- with the proper look of teutonic defiance! =0)

Looks like the Red Baron after one of his victorious dogfights with Snoopy!
