Mate,
Taz, I just stumbled upon a picture that I believe that you copyrighted on E-Bay:

Orig. Foto - Pk 1. WK - Richthofen - Flugzeug bei eBay.de: 1871-1918 (endet 08.09.08 20:30:00 MESZ)

I think that this is part of Peter's collection that Taz has. I will have to wait until I get home Friday to check his database. I only have 127/17 and above with me on my portable drive.

Greg may know who has the copyright on this too. Taz is on a long vacation and I don't know if he is going to come back the the Drome. I will email his about this but he has no communications at the moment.

Hi T.C.,

Great foto!
I don't know that this image can be copyrighted. How would that effect other existing copies?
It's not unusual to see more than one copy floating around of any particular image, especially a desirable one. As always, you can make as many copies as desired with one negative. I have seen it happen before.

Best Wishes, FOKKERJ

Great Image

Dear Tom, What a neat photo! I can't believe that I have been kicking around WWi stuff since 1964 and never seen it until today. Thanks for sharing.

I would like to meet up with you next month in Marysville, KS, and catch up on our books. I am glad that I could help out with that Voss image last year.

I am going home to Huntsville Wednesday to visit my family for a week and am giving presentations on the Civil War for the next two Saturdays. Let's try to do this before the weather turns bad. Your friend, Scott

Hello Thommy,

Willkommen to the Aerodrome.

No, the winner of this auction has not been active since late spring or early summer, not since the banishment of one of our esteemed colleages. I have e-mailed him with your comments.

Good luck to both of you.

Best Wishes, FOKKERJ

Unless some law has recently changed that I am not aware of, you can only copyright original works. The original photographer could have copyrighted this photo, for example. Or if a person were to paint an artistic rendition they could copyright that.
