Since it seems that there is plenty of dough around to be carelessly spent, I am willing to sell this extremely important historical document, signed by Manfred Von Richthofen himself, which proofs that the great ace was shot down from the ground thus ending with a 90 years controversy for the bargain price of US $3,000. Proof of authenticity: The dealer guaranteed its authenticity. Just look at the provenance of this document.
Moreover, I guarantee that is Richthofen’s signature. I challenge anyone to tell me otherwise.
Anyone interested?

I do not feel sorry a bit for the chap who is now 3 grand lighter. He's clearly someone who has little to no real historical knowledge of the subject and likewise to this day assumes he cheated someone else out of the holy grail.
Surely it hangs in some secret place in his house and he shows it only to trusted friends who would not break in and steal it from him. To him it's more real than any of us can imagine and the poor fool who let it slip through his fingers for 30 C notes has no idea he has lost the opportunity of a life time.
At some point the owner will pass away and this cherished relic will pass to one of his sons to be placed right next to the family tree illustrating kinship to Davey Crocket, George Washington or maybe Errol Flynn.
and the legend lives on ....

I might as well sell my replica of a Pfalz fabric out of a bedsheet on ebay for $2,000

zero feedback for seller and goofy story point to an April fool's joke and of course no one (not even the guy who paid for the ressurected zombie Richthofen's signature) has bid on this one.

Willi, I would never buy stuff like that or the supposed fabric of his plane.
In the last 20 years, I have seen enough "Richthofen red DR1" fabric to actually build and entire Dr1 Jasta of Red Fokkers.

Sure, maybe he can hitch a ride next weekend with the Easter Bunny.

WOW!I wonder how many people fell for those "genuine" pieces of fabric.
I would like to see a small company that makes replica fabric of WW1 aircraft for wall decor.

Hi Willi:
A few years back I had seen on the net a guy that had a motorcycle shop that was making reproduction fabric samples but I don't know what happen to him as I can't find a link to his website any more.

No, I can't. However, there was a guy who “communicated” once with him. He remembered Voss mentioning chrome yellow, or olive brown, or something like that, but he lost connection………….
