Well folks - not sure what the story is on this card. The fesselballoon here appears to be on display/maneuvers at a large outdoor fairgrounds or arena. There is, of course, no identifying information on the card. It also appears that the ground released balloons as there are a series of objects that appear to be rising starting on the left of center and just being released on right of center. Thought that was a bit surprising as I think of balloons being an expensive novelty in the earlier part of the 1900s.

So, just wanted to share!

Great picture of a fessel rising into the air.

Well folks, October is one of those months where my spare funds go into my wife's birthday presents and an anniversary gift! Yet, I did get a few nice RPPCs this month. This being part of one.

The image is literally part of a RPPC that was cut down/cropped some time ago to this. It also appears that there was part of a double exposure and maybe that explains the RPPC cropping. Of course, nothing that can identify the balloon crew.

A surprise from the Mrs! God Bless her!

So, this is a nice image that the Mrs. gave me today! I only adjusted the contrast a slight bit in this posted image. Very nice. Of course, no identifying unit, location, or date...

;-)
