Is this photo worth a bid ? DVII ??

I wonder if this photo is known already. I canīt identify it but it seems to be a late DVII. It is not an original photo, itīs a postcard. Hereīs the link

It is an Aviatik (Berg) C.I to be exact. It was a high-speed reconnaissance aircraft that was often modified into a Fotoeinsitzer (single-seat photo aircraft) by fairing over the rear cockpit after installing a camera w/ a sliding mechanism for changing the glass plate negatives.

By definition postcards are widely reproduced images. Is it worth a bid? That is entirely up to you, the price as of this moment is a modest 2.5 Euros, but then the card seems to be in fairly poor condition with significant damage so perhaps that is not much of a bargain in the minds of some people. With these things you should buy what you like and pay the price that seems good for you. Resale value in the future is unknowable but in general the things that tend to increase in value are the really rare items in perfect condition.

the perfect unique undiscovered picture in great condition..... that is a really hard one. if you are a speculator buy gold or stocks if you want a nice original high quality picture then there is nothing wrong with a Sanke or some other high quality post card... and it is a good way to get a feel for what is what without paying crazy prices for something that may or may not be very rare
