Lafayette Escadrille & other WWI miniatures

With all the excitement over the ne film "Flyboys" I just wanted to remind all you modelers out there: If you are interested in this movie, ...in WWI aviation, "Knights of the Air", etc. ...and WWI in general, you might want to check us out.

www.ModelCellar.com

We are a company that produces military miniatures with a special emphasis on WWI. We are Model Cellar Productions i.e. "The Model Cellar". Our range of miniatures includes figurines that stand about 4-5 inches high (a scale called 120mm or 1/15 scale), 1/35 scale figures which are compatible with 1/35 model tanks for diorama purposes, and larger scale (200mm) busts.

Our 120mm range includes Aviators as well as British, French, German, and American Infantry figures. Our aviator subset which we call the "Knights of te Air" includes figurines of Manfred von Richthofen "The Red Baron" , Eddie Rickenbacker - 94th Aero Squadron, Frank Luke "Arizona Balloon Buster", Billy Bishop No.60 Squadron RFC, and George Guynemer "Winged Sword of France", and of course Raoul Lufbery (Lafayette Escadrille) with lion cub mascots Whiskey and Soda. These figures are cast in resin and are model kits that require assembly and painting (note: those shown on our website are completed examples). They can be assembled easily with 2 part resin epoxy glue (the A+B kind) or superglue. ...and if you are not the "artist type" after assembly you can apply an alternate finish by simply spray painting them bronze and mounting them on a pedestal as a handsome "desk top Model".

Our larger busts include likenesses of Hindenburg and Foch, Churchill as a young Lt.Col., and even a bust of a young "Bavarian Corporal".

All of our figures are researched thoroughly before they are sculpted. Uniform details and insignia are accurate and incredibly detailed. ...just take one look at the medals on Guynemer to see an example.

When visiting our website, click on the "our catalog" tab on the front page, then follow the link to "Model Cellar Productions Figures and Accessories" to see our range of products and photos of completed examples. These kits/figurines can be ordered directly from our site using the shooping cart feature. Payment can be made using a VISA or Mastercard. These unique items will make the PERFECT gift for any WWI or aviation enthusiast.
