I am currently designing and building a 1/3 scale R/C Ansaldo SVA. Any help regarding reference material for potential color schemes would be greatly appreciated. I already have the Profile Publication and Windsock Datafile. Are ther any plastic models out there? Many thanks.

Welcome to the group. You'll find a kit listing and some useful refs at italiankits.it There is also a site dedicated to the Ansaldo Balilla, a different aircraft to be sure but sharing some details. Somewhere there is a site covering the restoration of the Bergamo Museum A1 but the link I have is dead. It contains a wealth of detail and hopefully someone here can furnish both of us with more up to date information. Diego Fernetti's site has an index of SVA pics. I find most of the image links are either broken or rejected by my system for some other reason. But Diego is a keen modeler who generally responds positively to e-mail requests. Come to think of it, he may be in contact with the head honcho of the Bergamo project.

Would any of you fine gentlemen have a suggestion on how I might replicate the Italian camo on the upper surface of my 1/3 scale Ansaldo SVA (Sponge painting???)
