Greeting everyone,
Thanks for posting the link and the kind words John and Ross. Seeing as you already have the link here, I will just add a few of the photos posted at ARC so far. If you have any questions feel free to ask. In a nutshell, it's a model of the Camel on display at the US Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola Florida. I'm not sure if the actual Camels aboard the USS Texas were finished like the Museum's example, as most photos I have seen show them as OD over NDL or possibly Light gray, but the Museum's Camel is just so darn pretty with the polished aluminum, dark stained woodwark and light gray overall color, that it just begs to be built. I am also building a 1/48th scale 14 Inch Gun Turret, with the platform atop it, to display the model on. I think it'll be a neat display.
Enjoy the photos.
Cheers
Mike Robinson

The kit engine. I used .005 music wire for pushrods, as opposed to the kit supplied PE pushrods.

The kit panel looks great OTB, but I added some gage bezels from Fotocut to add some dimension.

Only changes I made to the kit seat was making the seat frame from copper wire, as the plastic frame was a tad too thick for my tastes. I also sanded off the molded straps and substituted tape straps with PE buckles.

I found that when I tried to cut out the push rod assembly the push rods broke. So will also being using wire.
