Question Figures.

Further to the Guynemer & Lufbery figures.Although they both died during the war if I wanted to use the figures I could rename the Guynemer figure Rene Fonck(they seem to look somewhat similiar) and the Lufbery could become a generic member of the Lafayette Escadrille.Does this sound plausable to you guys?
Remember this is a fantasy piece and I don't know if Billy B or Eddie R even met after the war. Now, it more or less comes down to the decision would this addition add to the diorama or not?

The figure after 2 coats of 1/2 gesso and 1/2 distilled water.
I am happy with the glue joints of the modified arm but I find it looks a little stiff.Maybe once I put something in her clenched fist it will look a little better. The figure is actually looking inward towards the truck so I am not too concerned as it will only be viewable across the hangar floor through the windows.

Thumbs up In case you missed it!

I have it on good authority that new WW1 pilot figures in both 1/32 and 1/48 will soon make there way to market.Cheers! John.

Bet you guys didn't expect to see an OX5 engine after all this talk about figures.
Well someone asked me about weathering engines,so I thought that I would repeat a couple of posts from awhile back.
I plan to update all this with a step by step build of the next OX5, that I plan to put in the future engine room module, probably some time next Winter. Now that I know how to post pics using my scanner I feel confident about doing an indepth build of this engine, complete with weathering techniques.
I am presently painting Bonnie & Clyde right now so the two subjects maybe jumbled up for awhile.Hope you guys dont find all this too confusing.
Cheers! John.

No worries John, Trouble is with being focused as a diorama artist is that you really have to step back to see the big picture.
