Carefully put hair curler in a vice with just enough pressure to hold it steady.Years ago during my boat building days I used to hold it between my legs ,which is not recommended.

I will soon have to start thinking about how I want to attach the yet to be built wings to the side of the fuselage.
I don't want to cover the wings that will be closest to the side of the viewing case. The whole purpose of doing the Camel is to give the kids a close up view of how these old airplanes were built. The inside wings(closest to the hangar) could be partially or fully covered with tarps.
I think that the best way around this would be to show some folded tarps on the ground somewhere near the airplane or leave these 2 wings off completely and show the tarps being put on.In real life of course this would have probably been done long before being mounted on the fuselage's side.(Any ideas along this line would be appreciated)

Thanks John!
Hi John,
I try not to pipe in much as not to ruin the fluidity of your thread, but I just had to break in and thank you for sharing another year’s worth of your efforts. Chock full of great photos, modeling techniques, and a bit of history thrown in, it’s a delight to be able to always check back and see and learn something new and be inspired by your talent.
Looking forward to another year of your incredible endeavors in modeling!
Salute,
Steve

The Undercart!
Began the research and building of the U/C.It seems that there was more than one design.I have seen all wood, wood and tube, and wood and tube wrapped in fabric and then painted.
I was originally thinking of doing the wood and tube variety like Ken Forans but I think that I can simplify the whole thing by wrapping it with fabric and painting it.The spreader bar I will modify using wood veneer or I could wrap it too for some sort of road protection. It may have been simpler to scratch this than modify it but modifying is fun too and can be very creative in its own right.
