HOW TO BUILD AIRCRAFT DIORAMAS

Because the Camel/Truck is basically one piece rather than 2 separate entities,I will have to treat them as such from here on.One way or another I have to build the undercarriage which is where I will concentrate my efforts for now.Then the
Model T truck will be put on its wheels and I will decide the rest from there.
I will have to re-think the center section on the fuselage idea ,mainly because it looks way to vulnerable and unrealistic stuck out there in the wind.

I plan to secure the Camel as I did the Albatros as it works very well for fake fabric -covered wheels.The pic is pretty much self explanatory ,the only thing not shown is that the screws head has been filed down a little on the other side, so that it will be in the vertical when finished.It also eliminates any possibility of turning.I will use epoxy glue for added strength.Both wheels of the Albatros were secured using the same method.This time around I will secure just one wheel using this method.

Carefully drill a hole through the tire.Keep the hole as small as possible without unnaturally ballooning the tire .

Painted and test fitted. Yes ,I like colorful wheels!I think that the dull red goes well with the green.With a little subtle weathering it should look OK.

Note: the horses back leg near the wheel.This is the next project after the Camel/Model T.Never painted a horse before,should be fun!
