I decided to make the dining room window a little different looking.I left the lower pane full and split the upper only.Later I will do more weathering using pastels. You can see by the L/H window that the plexiglass pane is rough cut and the wood strips are used to line everything up.I was spending way too much time trying to cut the plexiglass a perfect 90 deg when it is only covered by the strips.Lexan is very strong and does not take to kindly to shaping and sanding using hand tools.Power sanders only melt the plastic ,so I rough cut them on my scroll saw and let it go at that.

The windows on the first panel are finished with only the door left to do .
The second panel windows are now underway and should be finished soon. With a little nice lighting and window decorations it should add a lot of depth to the diorama. The doors are next and then probably the porches.

Making these windows is getting really boring ,so to find a little relief I am combining it with something else to do.
How to rig a ship model.
I don't know if any of you guys are ship modelers but I have something on my photobucket that may be of interest.I spent a long time rigging an 1/72 scale HMS Victory before I took up 1/16th aircraft dioramas.I have started an album on how to rig this ship.Look for the album titled Friggin' in the Riggin' in my photobucket.
Believe me after that aircraft were easy! Cheers.John.
