Extreme weathering.
In the backyard flyer diorama I will be putting in three Model T's ,of which one will be a wreck that our would be aviator rescued to use the engine and rad for his airplane.
I want to learn how to do a bit of extreme weathering on metal so I took this opportunity to do so.Because this wreck is very weathered I had to come up with a good reason for this, because by 1919 this car would have been only 10 years old ,which is not enough time to reduce it to extreme weathered status. But it seems that for my story purposes it caught fire when new and only the basic engine and rad was salvageable. The rest was just left to rot away since he has been off to war.
Model T's are great for WW1 dioramas as they are highly adaptable for making into trucks, ambulances, ground equipment etc....
