Revell 1/28 Dr.1 links?

Hi folks!

I've got a net site in Finnish about ww1 aeroplanes (there is something in English too, please note the link below!). I receive mail from Finnish net surfers and every now and then they ask me questions I can't properly answer to. So, could you please help one of my readers!?

He has found an old Revell kit H270, Fokker Dr. 1 Triplane ' in new larger scale'. That is, I suppose, 1/28 Dr.1 in the original box (red plastic). All I could tell him about the kit is, that it is still in production. Do you guys know any www links about the kit, its history, relese versions during the years etc.?

Yours Familyman

The Dr 1 was released by Revell in the late 1950's. It was released with the Camel, and the SPAD. They are great kits. In the original kits they included "silver" tread for rigging and all the holes were there for the rigging.

The SPAD was the first kit and Revell has not reissued it here U.S. since while the Camel and DR 1 have been re issued by Revell Germany. I saw a SPAD kit for sale at 40 USD missing parts.

The Camel and DR 1 were re issued into the late 70's by Revell US.

The DVII was part of this group but not issued until late 1990's.
