[QUOTE=JDCMasters] I'm also looking forward to the Roden Camels [QUOTE]
I've sent an email to Roden asking if any of these are coming out this year so hopefully I'll have an answer shortly. Fingers crossed!

Camels and Zulus...
Thanks Junior. Did you see something about Eduard releasing a bunch of different Hanriot kits this year as well? All I've seen is the ubiquitous 'TBA' after the kit name on their site. To be announced when exactly...On another note, I'm expecting, any day now, a few FIAT truck kits from Tracks-n-Troops in Antwerp. I hope to finally get a good diorama going. Also a box of what was advertised as "40 WW1 Aces". 1/72 plastic figures of aces. I wonder if they'll be specific, or just look like aces, i.e. self-assured, cocky, etc...I'll stay in touch. JDC
PS- what does the little 'exclamation point-warning sign' stand for next to your and many other posters entries? Should I be jealous because I don't have one? JDC

What??!! I've got exclamation marks?? Sorry JD, I'm not that sure what you mean.
If you mean the thing that looks like a traffic sign next to the scales, then that's just to report "bad posts". Otherwise I'm not sure, maybe a warning to watch out as I swear too much

I forgot one... I still have a 1/48 vacformed Roland CII to build... but I'm a bit afraid to tackle it! VERY nice job on the molding though. I forgot who made it, but looks like it will be good if I ever get up the nerve to try it.

Traffic signs...
Yes, the traffic sign, Junior. How's Chile this time of year? A friend of mine just moved there to teach English. I just received my order from TracksnTroops--some Fiat trucks, an Opel Truck, a coal wagon, and a set of the WW1 pilots, soft plastic, but such detail! Fonck and Udet are there as are some Russians and some English. Very funny stuff--drinking beer, describing their tactics, lifting stuff, mechanics, a pretty lady or two. very cool figures. All of this is for the Great Diorama I plan to build someday when I have nothing left to do. I'm now working on a Swiss Nieuport 28--using the Revell kit. Needs some work, but not much. TTFN

JDC,
I'm nearly having a fit here! It's almost too hot, everyday between 35 and 40 degrees staying around the 27 mark during the night. And it hasn't rained for over 9 weeks It probably doesn't help that I've been living inside the Arctic Circle in Norway for over a year before coming here. I'm finding that I'm drinking rather a lot of very cold beer and sitting in the bath a great deal.
Still no word from Roden about the Camels but I will post the answer when they reply.
Cheers,
Junior.

I want to actually completely finish something this year. The last model I 100% finished was in 1998 - no joke. By the time I get near the end of a build there are always niggling little things which I think I could have done better so I get depressed and put it aside and start something else...ridiculous..

Gaf,I havent built a model or completed any other piece of art that I couldnt have done better. It is a creative learning experience, nothing more.We all strive for perfection knowing that really it is unatainable but it is fun to see how close we can come.Dont look back.Dont try to re-work things.Finish it and tell yourself that is what I knew then and press on with that new knowledge to the next learning experience.Oh,and by the way, hold on to those early works so as you progress your can really see how far you have come .I taught woodcarving to adults for 11 years believe me it works.Cheers! John.
