I just want to let you know that my little Polish Albatros DIII Oeffag BA 253 (kit Roden 1/72) entered in contest that week-end at the Ransart Model Expo (Belgium) and won the gold medal in her category.
Congratulations on your win! I've admired that little build ever since I first saw it on Ross's site. Something for me to shoot for, perhaps, in terms of quality.
All the best,
John
Scimitar:
That is a very nice job. I like the treatment of the patch and damage to the upper surface on the right side wing. The plywood panel seam are very good.
It is a very nice model.
Blue skies,
Dan-San
I'm also proud that my little Albie was preferred to a German F 104 (jet; silver) and a Triebflügel (Luftwaffe; bronze) and that there were only 3 biplanes for all the contest...
