J.18 Dr.1 decals

Are these made in either 1/48, 1/32 or 1/28 scale? Particularly interested in August Raben, Hans Müller. Thx.

Hello John,

IIRC, Superscale (in the past) and more recently, Aeromaster made decals for Raben's Dr.I in 1/48th scale. The raven shape is wrong on the Superscale but acceptable on the Aeromaster.

I have a left over 1/28 Black Raven from the Revell Kit if you want it, contact me thru the forum off-line messages.

Greetings edmondthieffry; There has been some banter among the Silent Old Birds and the Drome Members Bull Pen that the triplane to which this insignia was originally attahed was in fact the elaborate Raben insignia but was probably in another unit's hands when captured. By that time some "pogue" had simplified the Raben to a dirty white dove. As a matter of fact the whole machine's scheme was in a pronounced state of deterioration. As can be seen by this view the white raben has yet to be added. (April - May 1918.)
