J.18 Dr.1 decals

Are these made in either 1/48, 1/32 or 1/28 scale? Particularly interested in August Raben, Hans Müller. Thx.

Hello John,

IIRC, Superscale (in the past) and more recently, Aeromaster made decals for Raben's Dr.I in 1/48th scale. The raven shape is wrong on the Superscale but acceptable on the Aeromaster.

Hope this is help.

Best regards from Belgium.

Philippe

Thanks guys. Aeromaster looks good. Looks like I'll have to make my own for 1/48 black raven or 1/28 scale.

Greetings Stephen,

Thank for posting these two. Both seems like raven and not chicken as on my old 1/72nd Superscale decal sheet.

Best regards from Belgium.

Philippe

Greetings edmondthieffry; There has been some banter among the Silent Old Birds and the Drome Members Bull Pen that the triplane to which this insignia was originally attahed was in fact the elaborate Raben insignia but was probably in another unit's hands when captured. By that time some "pogue" had simplified the Raben to a dirty white dove. As a matter of fact the whole machine's scheme was in a pronounced state of deterioration. As can be seen by this view the white raben has yet to be added. (April - May 1918.)
