New Snipe...

Here's Barker's Snipe--TOKO OOB except for the control horns and rigging. INHO a damn fine 2 1/2 hour rigging job with a touch of sprue mixed in. Pretty decent build, but I'm in it for fun, not to win contests. The horns are .040 Evergreen rod, fitted into drilled holes, CA'd and then filed down veeerrry carefully to flat pointy things. The rudder was modified using a profile I have in a combat aircraft book. The pic on the box had the full rudder. On to the Airfix Pup! I promise to build the Roland before I go to Croatia in April.

Nice build JDCMasters! I tip my hat to your rigging sir and I like that color of green you used. Is that the 1/72 Snipe? If so, I have one I am planning to build in the future myself.

Thanks for sharing the pics with us,

Yes, 72nd and I used the suggested color from the box--Humbrol #30. Thanks for the thumbs up. I'm getting better at this, I think.

Nice job ! When you said Barker's, I almost thought you were posting one for our beloved rascal and fellow member. Fine build anyway.

Good job JD!

If you can snaffle the markings from somewhere you should do the Pup as Lee's "Chin-Chow"
