Nieuport 23 update

Hello all estimees Forumites,

As I said 15 days ago, finally I add 35 new photos of the Brussels's Nieuport 23 during its restoration : 5 concern the fuselage, 5 the other main components, 9 the cockpit, 8 the engines. I added two new subsections : the first concern the Vickers MG with 5 pictures and second is for the rudder with 3 new pictures.

I hope that it'll be of some interest for someone. With more than 120 pictures (if you count the first part about the Nieuport 23 during its stripping down), I think that it's one of the largest selection on this aeroplane.

If you want to see them, click on the link "Philippe's Models" below and see "What's News" on the main page.

Best regards from Belgium

Philippe

Sopwith Strutter

Philippe--what did you use for the window in the upper wing of your Strutter? I'll be building one eventually, and I was going to follow your lead on technique. Is it made out of Kleer? That's what the description sounds like. Great job on the Belgian Fokker as well.

From my little aircraft factory,
John Masters

Hello John,

For the 1 1/2 Strutter, I used a small piece of cellophane glued on the edges of the wing hole and on the ribs with Future (or Kleer as we called it here). After that, I put a liberal coat of Future on each side of the cello to reinforce it and improve its transparency. Easy and fast.

Hope this is help.

Best regards from Belgium.

Philippe
