New Pup from The Factory

Here's the Walmer Defense Flight from May 1917--No.9947. A real nice quick build from Airfix. If I owned ten of these kits I'd be happy. Model Master Radome Tan, Tamiya Khaki Drab, some Testors Steel and right OOB except for the cockpit, of which I couldn't get a good shot. Made seatbelts, control stick, juked up the instrument panel. Take my word for it. The sawhorse is inspired by Lawson's sawhorses that I see in most of his picks. It was almost as fun working on that as anything else. That's made out of coffee stirrers.

Salut!
John

Hello John,

Very nice built on this beautiful Airfix's kit, and the sawhorse is perfect also.

Best regards from Belgium.

N-i-i-ce build John! I like how you used that radome tan color for CDL and I am also impressed with the rigging. That sawhorse is cool...I dig that sawhorse....wait wasn't that a Beatles song? Oh no that was I Dig a Pony. Anyway you are one talented modeller Mr Masters.

Thanks guys. It gets a bit boring up here on the mountain, with nothing but snowsnowsnow. Modelling fills up most of my time before I head back to school in the fall. I do have a life, and I'll be getting back to it soon enough, but until then it's more models and then some more kits. All the tips and techniques I've gleaned from all of you shows up in my builds. I still look at some of the pics Ross displays and want to hang up my spurs. Thankfully for my sanity, I do not.

Thumbs up new PUP

Nice build, and as everyone has commented, the sawhorse is great as well. I enjoyed viewing this and my old pup kit will see the light of day soon.
