Academy vs. Hobbycraft 1/32 Nieuport 17

Hello,
In terms of ease of assembly, detail, and accuracy OOB, which kit might be considered the better version? I've never set eyes on the Academy kit, and wouldn't know what to expect with it. Thanks.
Willy

Willy, these kits are the Same Mold! Therefore no difference in construction or detail would be evident. As for accuracy, the only difference would be in Decals. I am not familiar with the Academy Decals so can not comment on this issue.IHTH,

Hobbycraft Nieuport

Nice kit, actually. As I recall, the biggest accuracy problem was the fuselage bottom right behind the cowl -- there should be a recessed cutout, while Hobbycraft molds it flat. Easy to fix.

Thanks for your replies. The same molds??? That's good news - it makes picking the right one a lot easier!!

Both companies are Korean.

And great kits. They are very easy to assemble and being "BIG" very easy to detail. And at a great price ....less than an Eduard 1/72 kit.

And for those of us in the bi-focals crowd, BIG is often better. ( And also for those who have ten thumbs like me ).

Cowling/Fuselage Accuracy?

IIRC, wasn't there an issue with the width of the fuselage and the size of the cowling? I seem to recall some kind of issue with this kit in that regard, but cannot remember.
