New decals from Americal/Gryphon
Hi everyone,
I just got in an order of decals from Americal Gryphon, and on their order form it lists several new sheets that may be of interest. I would like to see what aircraft are covered on the following French sheets: #191 Les Groupes de Bombardement (1), #192 Les Groupes de Bombardement (1A)(1/48), #193 Les Groupes de Bombardement (1B)(1/48).
Usually they do a 1/72 scale sheet, then 2 sheets in 1/48 covering the same markings. I'd love to see what aircraft & squadrons are covered.
also they are listing 10 different sheets for 1/32 scale German aircraft, including all of their lozenge & rib tapes, Jasta 4 Fokker D.VII, & 2 sheets for JG II Fokker D.VII. Should be great for anyone doing a Battle Axe kit.
anyone that wants to contact Americal/Gryphon can do so by mail:

In no way related to the seller, just a satisfied customer,
Dave

Ah, French decals! If only we had the models to put them on <sigh>.
In any event - and this operating from memory - the aircraft catered to include the Strutters, Breguets, Salmsons and Caudrons. Unfortunately - aside from the Breguet 14 and the Salmson 2A.2 - I can't remember the specific types.

Hi Matt,
Knew you would like the 1/72 French decals. Too bad you don't do 1/48, as Phillipe at Hi-Tech has already issued the Breguet 14 & Voisin, as well as the Roden Strutters, now all we need is a Caudron and a Salmson. (I forgot, we can get a 1/48 scale Caudron G.3 & G.4 from AJP although they are photoetched metal & very expensive!!!) And a Resin Salmson from Czechmaster, or the Wings 48 vac kit... No lack of French 2 seaters in the TRUE scale! (:P)

Matt,
No Salmsons on the sheet as I recall, just Caudrons, Sopwith 1.5 Strutters, and more Breguet's than you can shake a stick at.

Right... Weren't the Salmsons purely observation aircraft? Not sure if any of these were used as bombers by the French at all. Anyway I would rather do a salmson in USAS markings, and the Wings48 vac kit has an awesome decal sheet with decals for every American observation squadron at the front in 1918!
