Another one by Don Hinton. Merlin 1/72 Hansa-Brandenburg W20
http://www.network54.com/Forum/47898...randenburg+W20

Quote:
I built this kit in 1992. If you have seen a Merlin kit you will understand the difficulties I had with the W20, what with the very soft, thick, white plastic and all. Understand, this was pretty much the norm for early cottage industry limited run kits at the time, sort of makes me laugh when people complain of the outstanding limited run kits being produced today.

For the W20, I replaced the struts with brass rod filed to strut shape, severely thinned the wings, scratchbuilt the cockpit, etc. It is a cute little thing, only 3.25" long, 3.33" wide and 1.5 inches tall. I used aftermarket hex lozenge decals, can't remember the brand, but used kit decals for the number and crosses but unfortunately the clear carrier is yellowing now.

What a perfect little piece of art.
Just lovely...

Now, where can I get drawings of that?

Cheers,

Awesome models, especially the balloon! FOKKERJ P.S. Is the balloon scratch built?
