Ross, tahnks for including my SE in this new thread. I am not sure it is qualified for Unique builds or Memorable dioramas, but again it is appreciated. Erics builds are Beauties! His work in 1/72nd is incredible, and he builds in VOLUMES!

Tomasz Gronczewski's Karaya 1/48th Ansaldo A.1 Balilla.

The JAVA in this site will not let me hot link the images here bar this one. So please do follow the above link and have a look at this great build. I love his wood grain effect.

Dubrovnik on the line...
Great to see Ye Old Drome from so far away. That SPAD A2 is stunning. I have a couple of those kits, from A-model, and they seem really nice. I've built one (without rigging. shameful) and it required a fair amount of cleaning up, but it came together very well. Dubrovnik rain is similar to other rain, except the food is better, the coffee more plentiful, and of course it's on the Adriatic. I'm off to Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina on Monday. BTW, I feel safer here than in the USA but that's for a different thread.
From the Factory, on the road,
John Masters

In reference to the obtaining of the unique kits we have spoken of I direct your attention to the various and sundry hamlets and cottages that pock the landscape. Be on the look out for any and all WWI aviation kits of importance. Namely those in the true scale 1/48. The sacred house names of said assemblag'es are well known in the arena of the first world war aviation. Be well about the search for figurines in the same true scale and seek ye benefit by forwarding them to my venue.
P.S. Don't take any plastic Vampire Stakes.
Regards Red Leader One in stealth mode.

Bon Chance
Best of luck over there Mr Masters. I will miss the pics of your builds. I hope you packed some garlic for your sojourn into Transylvania.

Vlad doesn't live here anymore...
Sorry boys, Romania is a bit north of where I am. Though I will be near the Hunagarian border by the end of the month, in Osijek(Oh-see-yek), site of some serious fighting during the civil war in the 90's. Mostly rebuilt, but still plenty of pockmarked walls, etc...no long walks through the bucolic countryside for me. Read: landmines. Garlic doesn't work on them. So far, no kits or model shops, although I looked in Zagreb. I'll try in other towns.
Until then,
Do viđenja!
John
