Don't you just hate....

when you join the 2 sides of the fuselage and theres that annoying crack at the top of the fuse and the bottom and they wont fit any tighter or hold strong enough to be nearly invisable.......

Or when you join the bottom wing to the fuselage and theres a huge crack where the bottom of the fuse and the bottom wing is pose to meet and the only way of joining them is by cockin the fuse to the side tremdously......

Well my 1/72 Acedmy Camel is quite similar to all of this. Been a hectic build, best thing about it is the color of the wings and how great the green came out on it!!!! Its gona look very amatuer like!!.......Badlyyyyyyyyy

O well no one perfect or atleast Im not

filling cracks

You might want to try using CA or Crazy Glue to fill small gaps (I've been impressed with it's ability to do so). If the gap is too large for this, I use white Squadron putty and some sanding.

Unhappy

Hey,this would make a good rant thread.Lets keep it going!
Here is my 2 cents, dont you hate it when:
You drop something and it gets swallowed up by the carpet monster. You search around and finally find the part again, thinking Thank god!Iwoundnt want to loose this vital part ,only to drop it once more and it is never to be heard from again.Oh yeah, been there, done that. Cheers! John.

Traditional solution is to fill it with Tamiya putty (cement filler, a grey paste) or something similar, the problem is that it's a bitch to apply smoothly and it sticks to whatever you use to spread it (just like real concrete) and then you have to remove and sandpaper the excess.

A better alternative for filling holes and gaps is using 2 component epoxi resin, the Games Workshop Green Stuff works wonders.

To begin with check alignment and angle of attack of the wings, a lot of times there's going to be a gap if you want to fit the thing at the right angle...use filler on the gap.
Also, in most WWI aircraft the wingroot wasn't smoothly faired, so a joint line here it's right.

I told you so... but did you listen, noooo!

Just kidding, best of luck!

Ranting - the Carpet Monster

There's gotta be enough parts in my dark blue carpet to make a whole airplane by now and I don't even have shag! Somehow it managed to swallow up half the nose from a 1/144 DC-3 (in white plastic!). I can't even begin to explain that one.

What I hate most is when I have to add filler to the upper left fuselage join seem, and to the opposite side on the bottom,

What I hate most is taking the time to properly prep that delicately molded part just to glue it cock-eyed and then having to snap it off.
Salute,
Steve
