1/24 Pfalz D.III
Artist Bob Rosenburgh asked me to post these for him. Colour me impressed.
"...Just for fun, put up my 1/24 scale Pfalz D-III multi-media build on that
forum. It's a Marco-Polo with vacuformed fuselage and wings, metel engine,
struts and details, lots of resin parts and some PE brass here and there.
And the prop was for a gas-powered RC plane that I commandeered and painted for this kit. All the rigging is piano wire..."

Nice kite, but that wood grain paint effect on Mr. Colt is bloody diabolical.

Very nice, indeed. I think the armament is a bit out of scale, don't you think?

reminds me of what Thumper's Mother said: ...if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
Reviews of Kits are the place for less than flatternig remarks ( and backed by facts not opinions) since they are sent in just for that purpose.
For an individual, only if he asks like at a contest/ forum where he actively seeking comments for improvements.

Thumper ??? Oh poor Thumper !!!
The build looks good. Looks like the 1-1 at the San Diego A & S Mus. Kept wondering how the rounds cleared the engine !

Greetings good people;
Looks like we'll have to put another place setting at the mess...

A spirited group, all the same. Got room for another set of goggles in
pre-flight ops?

Actually, I think Ginger's remark is a compliment.
For my part, I think the kit looks fantastic.

Pass the cognac, gentlemen ..... I'm here to watch and learn and I appreciate the wealth of knowledge and advice you represent. I do like the lines of the D-III, though I know it's not the fastest or best-turning kite in the sky ... so bear with me for my slavish adherence to aesthetics over substance.
As much as I enjoy everything about WWI aircraft, my knowledge is superficial compared to some of you old hands, so don't hesitate a second to point out any errors I throw out here. But I do shoot back ... so check six.
Allons,
Bob Rosenburgh

Bob, really great work. A Pfalz in this scale is a dream model for me, but I don't like those multimedia kits and therefore I really understand what you have done.
But...are you U.S. modellers obsessed by red WWI german aircaft? Has any WWI plane to be red? I am in doubt if a Pfalz with this scheme existed, and honestly, if reminds my on the airplanes which took part in Hell's Angels.
Searching for cover,
Hans
