Eduard 1/32 PE for Roden Dr 1....

makes me think Eduard has no intention of entering the 1/32 kit arena anytime soon. Just a hunch.

Harrumph

Of course I'll have to snag one and try it, but at first glance, a bit of a disappointment. Where's the lacing and cowl retainers?

In 1:48, Eduard sells the lacing and stitching separately (I don't know the difference, but I have the frets of both), along with seats, wheels and a great fret of turnbuckles, anchors, gussets and other rigging hardware. I have them all in quarter scale, and you can get all their generic WW I frets at once in the Big Ed series and save about thirty percent. I'm not sure which of these things they have in 1:32, but I suspect that, aside from the seatbelts, we will see more 1:32 scale PE parts for WW I planes from Eduard. I've seen their release list for the next year, and you are right: there's nothing with wings in 1:32 scale. In fact, the next a/c in the new format will be an I-16 (am I allowed to mention that postwar type here?). The Limited Edition kits will continue on as they have, but the running catalogue is dead. They are selling out the warehouse and no longer keeping everything in stock indefinitely. This only applies to kits. Not PE parts and masks. So if you've been putting off buying that old Eduard release, better get it now before it's gone. The next time you see it, it'll be a pricey LE kit.
