The Camel is my second WW1 project, the 1/48 Scale Hi-TechRoland D.II pictured below was my first WW1 project, and the 1/48 Eduard Albatros D.III project i'm currently working on is the third.

Carpo - yeah I'm hearin ya on the AFC stuff, all I can say is I'm getting there!! Maybe after I've finished the Albie I might hook into an SE5 (maybe A3-32, the two seater).... so much plastic so little time...

Hehehe

Hehehe, good one Ross, I reckon Carpo would like that one too given his builds are gonna "shoot" mine down at the Adelaide Comp in Oct

Oh and I realised I got the serial of the SE5A wrong too, it's A2-36... my apologies to all those AFC buffs out there...

Brian, to answer your question, the paint chipping was done with good ol' humbrol silver and a fine tipped brush, nothing complicated

Aircraft serials

Pardon me if I am wrong, but I don't think that A2-xx serial numbers appeared until 1921 and are a RAAF format.

Brad - I am almost afraid to enter my models this year after seeing your work!!

Maybe if I get myself onto the judging panel............
