Using a Camel as a Guinea pig

Well I just got a Photobucket account tonight for image hosting so I thought i'd see if it worked and would allow me to submit multiple images into posts on the forum... I took some gratuitous close ups of my 1/48 OOB Eduard Sopwith Camel and uploaded them onto the server, so far so good, now to see if I can get them onto the forum..... so here goes...

Hope it worked....

Camel

Nice one Brad - now when are you going to start producing some Aussie stuff for us to see????
There are plenty of interesting schemes out there - particularly for the F2b and SE5a.
It is a pity 10 SQN history doesn't go back that far - you could make something very personally satisfying!
I guess I will have to churn out a dozen 2 SQN birds when I get to Newcastle.

Hi guys - thanks for the positive replies. To answer some of the questions, the model is the 1/48 scale Profipack version straight OOB with the checkertail markings for Capt Sykes of 209 SQN RAF. The rigging was done using invisible sewing thread for most of the wires, the smaller wires were done using a product called "knitting in elastic". The Camel is my second WW1 project, the 1/48 Scale Hi-TechRoland D.II pictured below was my first WW1 project, and the 1/48 Eduard Albatros D.III project i'm currently working on is the third.

Carpo - yeah I'm hearin ya on the AFC stuff, all I can say is I'm getting there!! Maybe after I've finished the Albie I might hook into an SE5 (maybe A3-32, the two seater).... so much plastic so little time...

Another winning build Brad! I especially like the chipping effect you achieved near the prop! How'd you pull that off? Paint? Colored pencil? Just curious... Thanks again for sharing your work with us.
