Nice work Roger! And in my favorite scale too! I really like that woodgrain effect you achieved! Most impressive. You might want to check out Dan-San's recent post regarding PC10 as being closer to brown than green though. Thanks for sharing your pics with us. I look forward to seeing your completed build. Welcome to the 'Drome!

Agreed! Your camel looks great, and like Brian, I really like the wood grain effect you've accomplished.

Please keep posting photos.

Regards,

That's coming along great Roger! I'm sure you'll tackle those double flying wires with no problem! Thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Thumbs up Wow!

Great job, Roger. As a big fan of the 'wood grain effect' I must say that yours is superb. Rigging is topnotch as well. BTW, I just picked up some PC-10 from PollyScale, and while I do not have it yet, I think it's a green-tinged brown mud color. I'll wait to get it before I work on my Roden Camel! Keep up the beautiful work--it shows me that I can make mine look better and better.

From the Factory on the hill,
John

Welcome Roger. Very nice. I think I have seen your work at Hyperscale forums.

yes sir, that would be me. thank you (et al) for the kind welcome. with the recent proliferation of WWI kits lately i plan on spending alot more time on this forum. seems like THE spot to exchange ideas, farm information and cause massive destruction or just plain make a fool of oneself.
currently working on the Eduard 48th Brisfit and plan on starting their DVII (OAW) as soon as the Camels' done.
again thank's to all, take care, rsf

Done Camel

finished up. flying wires not the pain i envisioned. a fidgity kit at best (though well detailed.) for some unknown reason (though i feel the blame can be traced back to my general incompetence) the kit cabane struts were too long. i am cognizant of the mistakes (PC10 too green, small scoops behind the intakes, metal cowling, missing bracing, et al)

thanks for all the input (and looking, take care, rsf)
