After the Camels..?
My apologies if this has recently been covered, but in looking at Roden's website, 1/72 scale offerings look a bit thin after the Sopwith series...
So, does anyone have an insider tip, a hunch or an educated guess what they will announce after the Sopwith Camel series? No meant to be a 'wish list' thread. Just speculation..
Thanks.

Why do a Sopwith Camel TF1? We just want a good F1.
Look in http://www.rodenplant.com/HTML/models1.htm and the F1 has been there for some time now. So too some of the 48th 2 seaters.

I agree. I'd have rathered the 'comic' night fighter over the TF1, but the F1 is going to be a good seller, in my opinion. But I wonder what 1/72 model(s) they'll do after the Camels, flying boat and Staaken.

Haven't got any insiders tips, but my guess is, that Roden is testing 1/32 now. If it will turn out to be good business, there will be more of those in the future, less 72 and 48 offers. Those guys are doing it for living, you know!

What would I like to see
How about some 72nd Hanriot or a Caudron or two?

I don't believe for a moment Roden will turn their backs on 1/72. There are Nieuports overdue for a retread, not to mention two seaters in both Entente and Central Powers flavours.
Always a good sign on the Roden web site is when black and white sketches become full colour box art. I note with pleasure that the Dh4 and Dh9 now appear in glorious Technicolor for future release in the manly scale.

PeterL: I have long felt that the first manufacturer that releases *good* injection molded kits of the various Nieuports will cash in big time. Don't know why it hasn't happened yet. Roden could do a very good job with these and their molding technique (maximizing versions) would lend itself well to a line of Nieuports. I hope you're right.

John Masters: about a year or so ago I e-mailed Eduard about the announced HD1. I got an e-mail back from Vlad Sulc encouraging me to be patient, as they work slow. Still no HD1 but can you imagine how cool an Eduard Hanriot will be when we do get it!!

Mikko- Somebody could sell me a box of popsicle sticks if it had a lable that read "1/32 scale Sopwith Pup" Some types I'd go for, other's not so much but I hope they succeed in whatever they do - they've done alot for the hobby in my opinion.
Thank's for your replys, all

I considered that kit - I made a passable version of their FE2b, shot down by my 2 year-old niece, splintering into gondolas, booms, wing segments and matchsticks - but have been really slack the last X years. I am truly tempted by this Beautiful Loser.
Make a movie of it, lad!
