I enjoy rigging too
... the only thing I find irritating is having to sort through so many different media and sizes in order to come up with a combination that matches the rigging in the photos. Seems like some aircraft had about ten different sizes depending on which areas it spans.

Once you see one of your kits fully rigged, there's no going back to bare.
.005 stainless here too.

Hi Ross
Smallparts.com is just as close to you as it is to me
Their website is absolutely enormous and I don't know how I ever found the 0.005" wire but these details should help you if you decide to mail order:
Part number: SWGX-050-30.
Stainless steel 304V wire thickness .005” comes in straight 30” lengths, not in a coil. Cost is about US$2 per length and you need a surprising amount to rig a model eg a 1/72 DH2 used four 30” lengths!
It comes VERY well packed in a thin plastic tube which is then put inside a larger cardboard tube. They may try to use an international courier firm for shipping but I persuaded them to use USPS which is about half the price. Given that the postage will be a fixed price you may as well bite the bullet and order enough to last a lifetime. If you can persuade some other modellers to go in with you, you could share the postage cost.
