Day 5

I put thin strips of paper to cover the brown card on the edge.

Then I applied the numbering, with good old Letraset. The color scheme will be from the Swiss aviation troops, around 1914 (see my avatar...). I'm not sure about that number on the side, but other aeroplanes from the same era (Bleriot XI, Morane L) had it.

The white cross on the rudder is a piece of white paper. The thickness of the paper is visible, but it looks nice though, and is very simple to do.

The tail is assembled, with the rudder orientation corresponding to the rudder pedals.

That's it for now...

Lookin' good! I like the Swiss markings - nice way to add some color.

The work resumed, after a couple of days off..

I started the wings :

And then, to get the cambered profile, I used somethings a little different than Eric's spray cans : my bathroom-table's edge (the curve seems to match the wings profile, as it is actually not circular on the whole surface of the wing).

RIGGING !

Pffeeww.... it's not as easy as it first looks... and with monoplanes, the wings, which are independent, must be aligned.. but I'm quite happy about my first rigging !!
